Middlemore Hospital

Middlemore Hospital, New Zealand's largest hospital located in Ōtāhuhu, Auckland, serves over 600,000 people across Counties Manukau with 800 beds and 24 operating theatres. 

As a major healthcare facility offering specialised services including orthopaedics, spinal injury rehabilitation, and the National Burns Centre, the hospital required comprehensive seating solutions across multiple areas.

Alloyfold delivered 69 pieces of furniture across five product lines: 15x Berlioz waiting systems in multiple configurations with high-density PU seat pads; 8x Chopin waiting systems with contemporary 2-seat configurations and non-upholstered surfaces for easy maintenance; 4x Schumann waiting systems with grey metal finish for maximum hygiene; 2x Devon healthcare recliners in cornflower blue with expandable footrests and 390kg capacity; and 40x Church chairs with stackable design for multipurpose spaces.

The Chopin waiting seats, featured in the installation images, showcase sleek aluminium and steel construction with non-upholstered surfaces for infection control and a 5-year commercial warranty.
