Melbourne Sports Centre Parkville
Tip & Roll Portable GrandstandsAs part of the impressive $64.6 million State Netball and Hockey Centre (SNHC) redevelopment, now known as Melbourne Sports Centres – Parkville Stadium, Alloyfold was proud to contribute to this landmark investment in Australian sport.
Our specific contribution focused on enhancing the venue's versatility through the supply of 6 specialised 4-tier Tip and Roll portable grandstands, providing a total of 219 seats. These innovative seating solutions allow the multi-use facility to quickly reconfigure spaces by adding, repositioning, or removing seating arrangements as needed for different events and activities.
The redeveloped centre now boasts eleven indoor netball courts and a new indoor hockey pitch, establishing Parkville as Australia's premier destination for both sports. Additional amenities include recovery pools, a crèche for parents, and a high-performance strength and conditioning gymnasium.
This thoughtfully designed facility serves as home to Netball Victoria, the Melbourne Vixens, Hockey Victoria, and numerous grassroots teams. The enhanced configuration, including Alloyfold's portable seating systems, opens up exciting new possibilities for community participation, high-performance training, competitions, and major events.
Beyond netball and hockey, the centre's improved flexibility supports a diverse range of sports including volleyball, basketball, futsal, badminton, and table tennis. The redevelopment also includes a new northern entrance improving public transport connectivity and houses the Women in Sport Leadership Centre.
