“The Chair-Men” – The journey begins…

24 May 2011

Hi, Chair-men here Have you ever been thinking about purchasing something and in the time leading up to your purchase notice that thing EVERYWHERE you look? My family always laugh at me and perhaps with a hint of despair. I have this thing you see, I can’t go anywhere without noticing chairs, taking photos of them and drooling over new sleek lines or styling. It’s an obsession, that’s true, but it’s also a passion with a cause. Before you think we are totally nuts, let me explain. Gregg & I (Murray) are into chairs big time, our company Alloyfold sells commercial furniture including church chairs, rental and event chairscinema seating, waiting seating and auditorium seating. Our organisation’s mission or vision if you want to get corporate on it, is one of social enterprise. Alloyfold generates funding for Pathway Charitable Group, a charitable trust that supports disadvantaged and needy people in our community. So you see, the chair obsession at least has some kind of excuse! Our Chair-men blog is kind of our journal of our experiences whilst installing seating around Australasia. After 10 years of manufacturing and supplying furniture we have learnt a few little tips and tricks we will share with you that may help you in your own furniture selection and lastly, we promise to keep it quirky and just a little bit cheeky. Follow us on the Alloyfold Chair-Men journey. We will take you to Dreamworld, Queensland Australia in our next edition!
