The America's Cup Race

11 March 2003

Here in New Zealand we've just hosted the Challenger Series for the Americas Cup, the world's richest yacht race.

The Swiss beat USA syndicate "Oracle" and now will meet our "Team New Zealand" who currently hold the cup. This competition always captures the imagination of our entire nation [of just 3.5 million people!] because we tend do a lot of sailing and it seems to be the one sport [apart from Rugby of course] that we can win! I also want to remind you about another good thing that comes out of NZ - our folding chair. Designed and manufactured from premium grade Aluminum the chair offers rental companies real advantages over steel equivalents - it won't rust, it's 30% lighter, and it's almost maintenance free. Yes, it costs more because of raw materials costs, but the up-front higher price pays dividends down the line. In fact, THE MOST EXPENSIVE CHAIR IS ACTUALLY THE CHEAPEST. This isn't just sales talk - we have figures. We just put our "Alloyfold benefit calculator" on our web site so you can input your own numbers and compute the extra money you make with our chairs over cheaper steel equivalents. We think that on 1000 chairs, Alloyfold could yield as much as a 73% higher return over the life of the chairs. You can get it here: http://www.alloyfold.com/news/resources Lastly, if you're interested in talking to USA rental companies who've bought chairs from us, I've put a customer list on our web site along with testimonials. I'm happy for you to talk to any of our customers for their opinion of our product or our service. You can find it at [no longer available] or call me on 1-888-368 7713 for more info- or just to get an update on the sailing!
