Alloyfold at the Court Theatre

17 November 2011

Hi, Chair-Men here, After the devastating earthquake of February 22nd, many of Christchurch’s cultural institutions were left homeless.

The Court Theatre, which operated for 35 years from Christchurch’s historic Arts Centre, was red stickered bringing all current and future productions to a grinding halt. Having no permanent place to continue producing and promoting live theatre the team were eager to get back on their feet and Alloyfold is lending a helping hand! After the quake we contacted the Court and offered them a great deal on our auditorium seating. They picked 394 of our popular AF6618 Auditorium Seating, riser mounted, with crosshatched maroon upholstery. Not only did we give them a great deal on the chairs, we are also installing them free of charge as a way we can help with the recovery efforts in our city. Check out a similar install we carried out at Middleton Grange school. So we are now in the thick of a big install job at the Court’s new Addington home. Its heavy work, but it will help get Christchurch’s cultural heart beating again. We’ll make sure to update you on our progress! If you would like to help the Court Theatre get up and running again you can contribute at www.icanhelpthecourt.com. Till next time, The Chair-Men.
